State Sanctioned Kidnappings under Review

There are untold stories of the agony suffered by both the children and families where child protective service agencies have taken the children in State Sanctioned Kidnappings.  The most renown of these cases is Justina Pelletier, medically kidnapped from Boston Children’s Hospital, (BCH), and made a ward of the state of Massachusetts, even though she was from Connecticut.  At the very same time that crowds rallied in front of the MA State House, (above) to FREE Justina, BCH was making baby Bella another victim of medical kidnapping, even though she was from Alabama:  Another Boston Children’s Hospital Kidnapping – Part I

On the same day that Fox 25 aired the story of the federal government “ordering” the MA Department of Children and Families, (DCF), to return a child to her mother, MA State Representative Jim Lyons made the following announcement on his facebook page:

Last year Rep Marc Lombardo and I fought to have Justina Pelletier reunited with her family. Many of you remember that outrageous overreach of state government. Governor Patrick held Justina hostage for over 16 months; to this day Justina and her family continue to suffer from the arrogance of the Patrick administration.

Today the House unanimously passed our amendment establishing a commission to study medical abuse claims. The commission will research and assess the cost of the case and the evidence and reasoning that led DCF to take Justina away from her family. It shall shall also conduct an investigation of the 51A staute, focusing on the number of families who have been impacted by this outrageous interference with parental rights.

This is big news for the thousands of children in state custody in Massachusetts, many of whom should never have been removed from their families to begin with.  As many find so hard to believe, the Fox news story centered around a Federal investigation that CONFIRMED! “very common” – States needlessly take custody of OUR children!

What Fox 25 did not make resoundingly clear in their story is that the state of Massachusetts WAS MOVING TO PUT THIS LOVED AND WANTED CHILD up for adoption.  This after they took custody of a 2 day old baby when the hospital contacted DCF, and the child was in state custody for 2 years with the biological family restricted to ONE HOUR A WEEK SUPERVISED VISITS!!!  This is what is going on to parents across the country, i.e., the state taking custody, destroying family bonds and security, and putting children out for adoption!  Had the Feds not selected this particular case to investigate, that child, like so many thousands of others, would have been permanently removed from her family’s life!  So the Fox story and Lyon’s amendment could not have come soon enough, but this must be stopped across the country.

Permanent termination of parental rights has been described as “the family law equivalent of the death penalty in a criminal case.” Therefore, parents “must be afforded every procedural and substantive protection the law allows.” Smith (1991), 77 Ohio App.3d 1, 16, 601 N.E.2d 45, 54

Let the investigations begin!  Children’s lives and the nuclear family are depending on it.

You can see the Fox News clip here, and we suggest that everybody take inventory of what is going on and happening to children and families across America, and at the hands of our government.  There is a war on families, and it is being fought in the shadows so that the average person knows nothing of what it going on.  Just as the Pelletiers could not take on this Goliath alone, neither can ANY of these other families.
