STOP taking OUR children – ALL children belong under the protective umbrella of loving parents.
As more people become aware of the atrocities committed by child protective agencies against children and families, too few that aren’t intimately involved with those whose lives are being affected would know of the behind the scenes things done by social services/workers on a routine and daily basis. All too often, extraordinary steps are taken to inflict more pain on these families and children than could ever be deemed reasonable or anything but an abuse of power. Not all, but too many, go out of their way to do the outright inhumane where ordinary and common acts of decency could and should, be so easily done.
Mother’s Day presents but another painful reminder of all the unnecessary suffering these agencies create, exasperated by the national attention given it by everyone unaffected from the media to the greeting card industry highlighting this special day to celebrate and acknowledge mothers.
So arrogant and abusive was DCF in Massachusetts, that even in the face of international attention, they denied 15-year-old Justina Pelletier seeing her mother, or family, while everyone else in the facility was allowed to spend time with their families. Fox news reported that, “According to the family, DCF denied Linda Pelletier, Justina’s mother, a Mother’s Day visit to the Wayside Youth & Family Support Network where Justina is staying. . . ” for “unspecified reasons”.
Protesters that gathered outside the Framingham facility included Janet Muscara, her husband and three children that day. “They asked me what I wanted to do today for Mother’s Day, and I asked them if they would support me in coming here to support the family. Justina’s family. And they all agreed without hesitation.”
Justina’s medical kidnap was, at the time, the most renown, and, in fact, the first known to very many. It is still regarded as the watershed case bringing attention to the fact that this even occurred. Today, a year later, entire sites like MedicalKidnap.com are dedicated to the phenomenon that is affecting thousands across the country, and new such cases are being reported on almost every day. Perhaps the case receiving the most widespread media attention since, is the case of Isaiah Rider. He was medically kidnapped by Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago just weeks before Mother’s Day when Justina was still held by the state.
Justina is now free, albeit severely, and perhaps permanently harmed by the tragedy inflicted from her medical kidnap, but Isaiah still remains a ward of the state. Isaiah’s medical condition and circumstances are literally beyond anything that people know or can believe could be inflicted by any hospital, child protective agency, court or state. These atrocities keep coming out, one after another, with more outrageous things being done to this family not yet even told. Much of it can be learned of in any number of the articles linked here: Isaiah Rider speaks out on DCFS, but the hits just keep coming.
Imagine the suffering of the mothers of those so unjustly taken by the state on this day in particular – – – and every other day of the year. Let’s do something to honor them.
Raising awareness of the horrors Isaiah and his family have endured in the outrageous kidnapping of Missouri resident Isaiah Rider by the state of Illinois is a way for the nation to see just how disgusting these kidnappings by the state are – – – and will also help raise funds for the appeal where maybe judges of more integrity and intellect can right this tragic wrong and pave the way for more families to get JUSTICE.
